NHP are excited to announce our partnership with local not-for-profit organisation, Southern Cross Kids’ Camps (SCKC) for a second consecutive year.
SCKC is an organisation dedicated to bettering the lives of disadvantaged children aged 7-11 through a network of fun and safe camps. SCKC gives kids the chance to form happy memories and experiences in a positive environment.
In March of 2018, nine NHP employees participated in Cycle4Change – a challenging four day ride across central northern Tasmania. After cycling more than 490 kilometres and climbing 5,767 metres, NHP were able to raise over $25,000 for SCKC.
The money raised by NHP went directly towards bettering the lives of children like Roberta Ashcroft, who was first involved with SCKC as a child who went on the camp. 16-years later, Roberta is now a team leader for SCKC.
“There's no doubt camp changed my life. It gave me happy memories to hold onto when I went home. I had hope that things were going to get better and that I had the power to make good decisions that would keep me on the right path.”– Roberta Ashcroft.
To ensure SCKC can continue to provide an unforgettable camp experience for disadvantaged children, NHP are once again participating in Cycle4Change.
From March 8-11 2019, 11 NHP employees will pedal through Adelaide Hills and South Australia to raise money for SCKC so that they can continue to provide these life changing camp experiences and work to expand their program across Australia and New Zealand.
Each of our employees have a goal of $2,500. Together, they will aim to raise over $25,000 which will be donated to SCKC.
Though NHP will be assisting with fundraising efforts, we are calling on our friends and global partners to help us better the lives of children who have been the victim of abuse, domestic violence and neglect.
All donations are tax refundable and will go directly towards SCKC.
