NHP in partnership with G.M. International is proud to have recently launched the new D5000 series of Intrinsically Safe isolators. This newly released series provides a simple and cost effective means of ensuring your hazardous area applications are intrinsically safe. With each channel just 6mm in width, the cutting-edge technology of the D5000 series is suitable for use across a wide range of isolators and safety relays for all applications.
Within this new release, G.M. International presents three new digital output IS interfaces: the D5040S, D5040D and D5240T (three channels), each of which are able to isolate and drive solenoid valves, visual or audible alarms, or other process control devices in hazardous areas. In addition, these interfaces can serve as controllable supplies to power measuring or process control equipment.
Taking high density IS interface capability even further, the brand new D5231 isolator is able to isolate and repeat eight digital input signals in both hazardous areas (from voltage free switches or Proximities/Namur) and safe areas. At just 22mm in width and with SIL 2 certification, this isolator also offers increased application suitability and flexibility.
The entire D5000 series are IECEx certified and approved for maritime applications by DNV and KR. The three channel model D5240T and the eight channel D5231 is software configurable and offers Modbus Output with an open and documented protocol. This enables the ability to read and configure the barrier remotely and both single/double channel models D5040S and D5040D, have already been certified SIL 3 by TUV. Multiple Output configurations also allow for a wide range of applications, interfacing the majority of devices on the market.
