At NHP we are proud to be at the forefront of an industry where sustainability is vital to the ultimate success of a project and our involvement in some of Australia’s largest renewable projects is testament to this – but don’t just take our word for it!
The Clean Energy Australia Report 2013 is a comprehensive overview of Australia's renewable energy and energy efficiency sectors, and includes key figures and statistics on the energy market.
Released earlier this year, the report also lists the largest scale renewable energy projects that were delivered in 2013 – and guess what topped solar? None other than the completion of Stage 1 at the Mildura CPV Solar Plant, of which NHP were pleased to play a major role in.
Forming the largest project of its kind in Australia, this new solar demonstration plant is capable of powering up to 500 homes and utilises cutting edge concentrated photovoltaic (CPV) technology that, with the help of NHP, has paved the way for exciting future expansion and development in this industry sector
As well as listing completed projects, the detailed report also looks to the future with a list of the largest renewable energy projects currently under construction. The Mount Mercer Wind Farm featured in the Wind category and like the Mildura project, NHP were proud to be able to service the requirements of this project.
For this particular project, NHP worked with ETEL Distribution Transformers (based in Auckland, New Zealand) to provide the Mount Mercer Wind Farm in Victoria with a transformer for each of the 66 wind turbine generators. This transformer helps covert the voltage from 690 volts all the way up to 33,000 volts for transmission around Victoria.
