The BACnet™ solution available for the Santerno Sinus Penta range of Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) is simply a plug-in expansion card which mounts directly into the Santerno range of VSDs. A primary benefit of the Santerno BACnet™ solution is that both BACnet™ IP and BACnet™ MSTP are available on the same card at no extra cost to the user, providing flexibility in the BACnet™ protocol.

Major benefits
The major benefit of the Santerno BACnet™ communication card is the ability to provide BACnet™ IP directly to the Santerno VSD without the need to use B-BC (BACnet™ Building Controller) or B-AAC (BACnet™ Advanced Application Controller) devices.
