NECA-NHP Apprentice of the Year Award - Industrial Sector of the Electrotechnical Industry

Each year, the National Electrical and Communications Association (NECA) and NHP search for an Industrial Electrical Apprentice of the Year, to acknowledge achievement in personal development for the apprentice in the Industrial Sector of the Electrotechnical Industry.

This award has been created by NECA with NHP to mark the contribution to the industry by Nigel Peck, founder of NHP. In comments about this award, Mr Peck expressed his wish that "it should firstly encourage Australia's youth to look to this industry for a career at the leading edge of technology, and secondly, to recognise achievement through enterprise, where the achievement is the result of effort and dedication".

As the winner of the NECA/NHP Apprentice Award, the apprentice will be NHP's guest at Hannover (Germany) and will make site inspections and factory visits to leading Electrical Engineering Companies in Europe as part of their itinerary.
