When NHP was established in 1968, founder, Nigel Peck, was determined to create a 100 per cent Australian-owned company focused on providing the best service and highest level of quality products.

Key Milestones for NHP
Nigel Hugh Peck first opened the doors to NHP in 1968 with a staff of just 17. With foundation brands including Sprecher + Schuh, NHP target Motor Control through their product offering and lay the foundations to one day become a leading global provider in industrial electrical products, systems and solutions.
Within NHP’s first decade of operation, the company had grown to have over 50 employees and further expanded to include Power Distribution products in their offering including MCCBs and ACB assembly.
Introducing control and panel products to the NHP range, by 1988 and with close to 200 employees, NHP opens its first branch in Western Australia in the city of Perth – a big step towards their promise to serve customers nationwide.
NHP hosts ‘NHP Insight’ in Richmond, Melbourne. This inaugural event brought together an array of global manufacturers all under one roof for a trade show exhibition that highlighted the growing capabilities of NHP. NHP also expand offering to include safety products, drives and automation systems as well as commencing operations in New Zealand to become Australasia’s leading electrical engineering provider.
To cater for the growing business, NHP built their very own National Manufacturing & Distribution Facility in Laverton, Melbourne. Forging a market-leading partnership with Rockwell Automation, NHP’s position as the leading Australasian solutions provider is further strengthened. NHP opens the doors to its 6th New Zealand branch location in Hamilton, extending their reach across both the North and South Islands and eclipsing a total New Zealand staff of over 70.
With a state-of-the-art customer service centre at their Head Office in Richmond, Melbourne and a pioneering Sustainability Centre at Laverton, NHP is also committed to embracing new technologies and pushing the boundaries of industry best practice to ensure they provide their customers with the highest quality products and service.
