At NHP we recruit graduate engineering professionals into our business on a regular basis, with a focus on providing a fun and varied working environment where professional development and challenge are encouraged.
During their first 2-3 years, graduates will work within a practical team environment and will gain exposure to all of our electrical and automation application categories, as well being introduced to the sales, marketing, and operations arms of our business.
We also have a fun ‘connected’ office space at NHP; we use technology such as smart phones and tablet computing with NHP specific applications, desktop video conferencing, and social networking including Yammer, Facebook, Twitter, and Linkedin.
As an NHP graduate, you will receive job based training from a variety of mentors including qualified engineers, trade qualified electricians, and business leaders. You can expect to develop a strong commercial astuteness and an understanding of the importance of sales and marketing to our business, through involvement in sales, marketing and event initiatives, which can lead to interstate and international travel opportunities.
As you progress through the business as a graduate, you will gain an understanding of the technology, design, and practical application of our products. Graduates can progress to become technical subject matter experts who are effectively running their own sales and distribution business as Product Manager. Alternatively you may progress down a more technical product design and engineering pathway, or towards sales, manufacturing, or any other area – there are no limits placed on anyone’s ambitions!
Outside of day to day development, we also encourage employees to enjoy their time with NHP and participate frequently in the extracurricular activities offered to the company; including movie nights, morning teas, sports teams, company functions, or team based social events. Basically, we like to have fun as well as work.
